alternative. When an individual voluntarily or involuntarily loses their job

acronym COBRA gives certain former employees, retirees, dependent children,
spouses, and divorced spouses the right to the temporary continuation of
health coverage at group rates. This temporary continuation of health
insurance coverage is only available when health insurance coverage is lost
due to certain specific events. Group medical coverage for COBRA insurance

the entire premium themselves in order to continue receiving health
insurance coverage.
